The School District of New Richmond would like to notify you that Knowles Avenue will be closed at the railroad crossing from Monday, September 15 - Friday, September 19. The road closure will impact the bus routes and schedules for students who live north of the tracks. Morning bus pick ups will take place 10 minutes earlier than scheduled and afternoon drop offs are estimated to take place 10 minutes later than scheduled.

We are excited to announce that after months of thoughtful planning and collaboration with many dedicated individuals around the district, the construction phase of our facilities referendum is set to begin in the summer of 2025. Countless staff members, community members, and experts contributed to designing a plan that will greatly enhance our district’s learning environments. As we move forward, we will continue to keep you informed by providing updates on our district website, ensuring that you stay connected to the progress every step of the way.
In order to prioritize student learning and include additional summer construction days, the School District of New Richmond has developed a 2-year school calendar to help staff and families plan ahead for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years. This 2-year school calendar was approved by the SDNR Board of Education on Monday, November 18, 2024.
By sharing the calendars well in advance, we hope to provide ample time for everyone to make any necessary arrangements. These calendars are now available on ourdistrict website, and I encourage you to review them as there are adjustments compared to previous years.
