Welcome Incoming Freshman!

Dear Class of 2029,

The New Richmond High School Counseling Department would like to extend our warmest regards to you, and take this opportunity to pass along some information regarding your student’s transition to High School!

To prepare students and families for this upcoming transition, we will provide a high school tour, Parent/Student Info Night, and then counselors will visit the Middle School and St. Mary School to go over registration and class selection.  Please see dates below for more information, and feel free to click on the links on the right side of the page for all related materials. 

Upcoming Dates:

• Tuesday, February 18th – during school day: High School Tour (students only)
• Thursday, February 20th – 6:00pm: Incoming Freshman Parent & Student Night (NRHS Auditorium)
  • Feel free to come early or stay after to walk the building and share what your student learned on the tour.
• Tuesday, February 25th  – Counselors visit the Middle School to provide class registration info.
• Friday, March 7th – Deadline to submit class requests for the 2025-2026 school year.

**Your Counselor at the Middle School  will also have additional registration packets available if your student is absent on the day NRHS counselors visit to go over class registration.

Helpful pointers when youregister for classes: 

• Scheduling can ONLY be done through your student's Skyward Account. If logged into a parent account, they will not have the tab to add classes.  
• If you fill in your course selection sheet fully, with course numbers, the process to enter them in skyward should only take 5-10 minutes.
• Turn in your form AFTER you have finished entering your courses AND alternate courses in Skyward.
• If you do not have reliable access to the internet, or issues logging into skyward, please contact the front office or your counselor so we can help
• Counselors and front office personnel are available by phone and email to answer questions.
