The founders of Phillips Plastics Corporation, Bob Cervenka and Louie Vokurka, established the AnnMarie Foundation in 1974. The foundation received its name by combining the first names of the mothers of the two founders. Originally funded in most part by Phillips Plastics Corporation, the AnnMarie Foundation is now an independent philanthropic organization committed to enhancing the quality of life in the Wisconsin communities it serves. The foundation provides monetary awards to schools and non-profit organizations to promote educational, humanitarian, cultural, and recreational activities. The foundation also provides scholarships to high school graduates.
Applications must be received by February 1, May 1, August 1, or November 1 to be considered at the ensuing quarterly meeting. If applications are not received by the indicated dates, the application will be added to the next quarter.
School requests must be channeled through the superintendent, who will establish priorities and submit the applications. The Board of Directors will determine the grants, based upon available funds, guidelines, and the impact of the grant on the community. Notification of acceptance or rejection of requests will be made by phone, e-mail, or US Mail after the board meeting.
