School Safety
The School District of New Richmond welcomes you to learn about our School Safety measures and tips. School Safety is our top priority, and we encourage our students, faculty, and staff to support each other in our safety efforts.
The School District of New Richmond currently has one School Resource Officer and works closely with the New Richmond Police Department as well as the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office.
Our School District of New Richmond new-hires are trained on the ALICE Protocol.
A = Alert (Alert is your first notification of danger.)
L = Lockdown (Barricade the room and prepare to evacuate or counter if needed.)
I = Inform (Communicate the violent intruder's location and direction in real time.)
C = Counter (Create noise, movement, distance and distraction with the intent of reducing the shooter's ability to shoot accurately. Counter is NOT fighting.)
E = Evacuate (When safe to do so, remove yourself from the danger zone.)
