Hillside, Paperjack, and Starr Elementary

You may want to purchase additional supplies when they are on sale, as these items will need to be replenished throughout the school year. Please check with your child(ren) to see that they have the supplies they need. To view a printable version of the school supply list, click here.

All Grade Levels:

Label ALL of the items below with your child's name.

Physical Education Shoes: Each student is required to have a separate pair of tennis shoes for Physical Education class. These shoes (they do not have to be new) should have non-marking soles with shoe laces or Velcro. Zipper, elastic laces or slip on type tennis shoes will not be allowed for Physical Education class. "Wheelies" or "shoes with wheels" are not allowed in the building or on the playground. Girls should either wear or bring a pair of pants to Physical Education class.

Healthy Snacks and crackers should be provided for your child throughout the school year.

Due to lack of space in student desks, we ask that students do not bring "trapper keepers" to school.

Kindergarten

Full-size backpack to bring to school each day (no wheels allowed).

Please do not label the following items as they are shared during the year:

• 12 - No. 2 pencils (non-decorated) sharpened  
• 2 - 24 count boxes of crayons  
• 1 - 4 oz. Elmer’s Glue-All Multi-Purpose Glue (no gel, no school glue and no run)  
• 4 - 4 pk. small Elmer’s glue sticks  
• 2 - wide-ruled spiral notebooks  
• 2 - plastic pocket folders with fasteners - solid colors  
• 1 - 8 color Crayola water paint set  
• 1 - box of Crayola Fine Line Classic Color markers  
• 2 - box Crayola Broad Line Classic Color markers  
• 1 - large container Clorox disinfectant wipes
• 1 - plastic pencil box – approximately 8”x5”  

Label ALL of the items listed below with your child’s name:

• Your child should be able to easily pack these items in his/her own bag labeled with their name
• 1 - bath towel/blanket (no larger than 28”x48”)  
• 1 - travel pillow (no Pillow Pets, no stuffed animals please)  
• 1 - cloth bag with handle (large enough to hold towel and travel pillow)
  • Notes will be sent when crackers and tissues are needed  

Grade 1

Please do not label the following supplies as they are shared during the year:

• 8 - Expo dry erase markers (black)    
• 1 - Crayola water paint set
• 1 - plastic pencil box

• 1 - child-size scissors (Fiskars for Children is an excellent brand)

Grade 2

• 1 - 24 pack - No. 2 pencils (pre-sharpened preferred)

• 1 - box of crayons (box of 24)
• 1 - highlighter
• 2 - big pink erasers
• 1 - headphones/NO EARBUDS

Grade 3

• 1 - package of loose-leaf paper (wide-lined)
