Child Development Days/Child Find 2020

Due to COVID-19 the District will be unable to host its usual Child Development Days/Child Find Activity that typically occurs in November.  The District is in the process of developing a new procedure to use this year to provide developmental screening for children ages 2 years 9 months to kindergarten.  More information will be coming soon via the District website and through a letter mailed to all families with young children within our screening ages.  As always, if you are concerned about your child’s development, you can contact the District Student Services Department at 715-243-7409.

Speech/Language Universal Screening for 4 Year Olds

This notice is to inform parents that ALL students enrolled in the District’s 4 year old kindergarten program will be screened for possible speech-language issues at their 4K site the week of November 23rd.  If you would like your child screened and he or she does not attend a District 4K, you may sign up for a screening time being offered at Paperjack Elementary School by contacting Carey Reetz at the number below.  Universal screening is done to identify students that need further speech-language testing/evaluations or possibly home programs.

All children will be screened in the areas of sound production, sentence construction, understanding, voice ability, and stuttering.

If your son or daughter is in need of further testing, you will be contacted by one of our speech-language pathologists.

For more information on Universal Screening you can contact:

Kathy Rogers, Director of Student Services at 715-243-7426

To sign up your 4K aged child for screening that does NOT attend a District 4K you can contact:

Carey Reetz, Speech and Language Pathologist at 715-243-1525 or email creetz@newrichmond.k12.wi.us
