Hi there! My name is Katie Mitchell and this is my first year teaching at New Richmond Middle School. I live in New Richmond with my husband, Jake and our two sons (Raymond is 3 and Finnegan is 2) and am excited to be a New Richmond Tiger!
Prior to joining the team here, I taught for 8 years in Hudson. I graduated with a degree in Math Education from UW-River Falls and earn a Master's in Education from UWRF as well.
I enjoy sports and am excited to be coaching 7th grade volleyball this year. In my time away from school, I enjoy running and spending time with my family.
We are excited to be using a new math curriculum resource this year! Students typically have 4-6 practice questions to try one their own for each lesson. Please be patient as we work out the kinks, especially with the technology as we work through issues that arrise. Feel free to reach out with questions!
