My husband, Brent, and I have lived in New Richmond for over 10 years. We have 3 children that attend the New Richmond Schools. Before coming back to the classroom, I worked in various positions within the New Richmond community including head coach for the New Richmond Area Tiger Sharks Swim Team, and teaching swim lessons and lifeguarding at the Centre.
I grew up in Edina, MN and attended college at Iowa State University. After completing my Elementary Education degree and teaching 6th grade in Ames, IA for 2 years, my husband and I moved to Palm Springs, California. While in California, I taught 4th grade until we moved to New Richmond in order to be closer to our families and begin a family of our own. I completed my Masters degree, also from Iowa State University, in Curriculum and Instructional Technology.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family, walking, boating, biking, hiking and watching movies. I also enjoy swimming, and have recently discovered the thrill of open water racing. I also enjoy scrapbooking and cardmaking. I'm a huge Minnesota Wild fan as well as a Vikings fan!
